After driving thousands of miles, we’re home from our SXSW tour. We met a lot of wonderful people and Dan hurt himself less than three times… Which is pretty good for Dan. We plan to be back on the road touring the country in June. Until then, we’ll playing a couple one off shows (e.g. May 14th we’re supporting Viza at the Highline Ballroom in NYC) and work on some new songs with Pete.
Anyway, here’s a snippet of us playing an alternative ending to Utopium during our Atlanta show:

Blitz to Austin complete! We are celebrating 1,736 miles (not counting trans pacific travel) with a box of low-carb beer (moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips). After some quick recuperation at our hotel we’ll head out onto the SxSW scene.

Hi everyone,
we’re sad to say that Ryan will be returning to the southern hemisphere sooner than any of us had planned. We wish him all the best in his new endeavors. We are so grateful for his involvement in the band’s formative years; he will always be part of the Battle Circus family.
We are psyched as hell to announce that Peter Connors has jumped in as our new bassist. He’s a seasoned pro and makes a brilliant addition to the band. We will be playing our first shows with him at our SXSW performances.

We’re excited to announce that we have been accepted to attend the annual music mecca that is South By Southwest 2011 in Austin, Texas, and will be setting off on a month-long tour throughout March that’ll take us from the east coast to Texas and back again. Joining us for the return leg will be Australia’s Injured Ninja, who will also be performing at SXSW.
Keep checking back for dates, and of course we still have a number of shows in and around New York and Philadelphia before then.
